OUR WINE WORLD

Several factors are necessary to produce wines of the highest quality. First and foremost, there is the climate that spoils the grapes and the people here on the Mittelhaardt with a little more sun than in other areas. The Haardtgebirge brings rain shadow and so our grapes are allowed to ripen at an almost southern level.

Furthermore, the special type of soil, weathered red sandstone, basalt rubble, lime and layers of loess and clay bring a unique variety of flavors to the wine. Careful handling of the grapes during the ripening phase and during the grape harvest must be guaranteed. After the harvest, the art of the cellar master is in demand.
